Hypotenuse Watches
We have put all our effort, hard work and knowledge into making this exclusive piece. A tribute to Swiss movement and sapphire.
We have combined design and top quality materials in order to take the most out of long-lived machinery that assures a future almost infinite.
What we are offering here is a caliber with no secrets to any master watchmaker.
Sapphire Sandwich
All mechanical movement is exhibited. Anchor, jewels, balance wheel, barrel, every part of its architecture is completely visible.
The watch is completely transparent in every sense and perspective.
Case
To offer the finest feeling, all external and internal parts of the watch case have been softly brushed. The brushing technique that has been used for the upper and lower surface is circular brushing. And horizontal brushing for the lateral parts.
These brushing techniques provide a special appeal to the piece. After a long use, they can be brushed again to return them to their original appearance. In this way, we can perpetuate the life of our watch for as long as we wish.
As a whole, the watch offers clarity, depth, volume and harmonized three-dimensional effects when observed.
Sapphire
Everyone who is fond of watches and watchmaking already know about its beauty, technical characteristics and its hardness: 9 on the Mohs scale, surpassed only by the diamond.
The Hypotenuse Sapphire Sandwich can presume of being one the few watches with two large sapphires, superior and inferior, of 40mm in diameter.
The upper sapphire, 40mm diameter by 4.75 thick, has a beautifully crafted bevel that absorbs all lights around it creating a captivating look.
These sapphires also have a great anti-reflection treatment.
The result of it all makes us very proud of the excellent work performed by our expert sapphire carver.
After many months of use the sapphire bevel will still remain intact, no marks, clean and perfect. This condition is impossible to achieve with steel bevels, which is the reason why we love crafting art using sapphire.
Swiss Movement

A tribute to a family of swiss movements with questionless relevance in the world of watchmaking.
This great family of movements that we refer to, can be found under many names: ETA, SELLITA, STP and many more. Nowadays, the ETA 2824 is the most basic and appreciated movement of all.
The movement we have chosen is the STP6-15 from Swiss Technology Production S.A. When it comes to pricing, the cost of production of STP6-15 is much higher than the one for ETA 2824. And the reason why, is because of the termination of the pillar plate (_platine_) that allows to see the entire internal mechanism. In this way, the owner can experience how the movement is created one second after another or just enjoy the pleasure of using magnifying lens to observe even the most little details of the mechanism.
